LEH, APRIL 11: Expenditure Observer (EO) for Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency Milan Ruchal today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements made for the free and fair conduct of parliamentary election- 2019.
The Returning Officer, Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency, Avny Lavasa, SSP Leh Sargun Shukla, Additional District Development Commissioner Leh Moses Kunzang, Deputy District Election Officer, Leh Gaffar Zargar, Nodal Officer Modal Code of Conduct, Nodal Officer Expenditure and Monitoring, Nodal Officer Media Certification and Monitoring Committee, Nodal Officer Police, Assistant Expenditure Observers, Leh/Nubra and all election expenditure monitoring teams (Flying Squad Team (FST)/ Static Surveillance Team (SST)/ Video Surveillance Team (VST)/ Video Viewing Team (VVT) /Accounting team etc. attended the meeting.
Milan Ruchal stressed upon all the concern officers and employees associated with election to give their 100%. He enquired about trainings of various teams like FST, SST, VST, VVT and Accounting team. He urged all the officials to submit reports timely to AEOs and Nodal Officers.
The EO instructed them to keep a strict vigil on suspicious transactions of above Rs 1 lakh in any bank and report it to District Election Officer (DEO). He urged them to approach the DEO or himself to communicate any kind of problem in carrying out their duty effectively.
The RO apprised the EO about the election expenditure monitoring, through a power point presentation. She highlighted in detail the area and job description of various teams constituted as per election booklet and ECI guidelines for the smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha elections in the district.
She said that work will intensify with the filing of nominations. She urged all the officials to get active and plan their roles systematically as per their area concern to avoid any kind of lapses in performing their duties correctly.
SSP, Leh Sargun Shukla also urged the officials to contact the Police Control Room number to communicate any kind of information on time and to avoid confrontations maintaining the objective image.
