| Drug menace: Police rounded up 15 persons suspected addicts | | |

Jammu, Apr 28: J&K Police of Kathua district under special drive today conducted series of raids in village Chak drab khan and Badala areas in jurisdiction of Police Station Kathua to curb the menace of drug addiction which is affecting youth.
Teams of Police Station Kathua and Police Post Nagri rounded up a 15 suspects in these raids who were trying to conceal themselves and tried to escape during the raids. On questioning they could not explain any valid reason of their presence and most of them are suspected to be drug addicts.
These suspects were found mostly to be residents of Punjab and other areas. Police Station Kathua initiated legal actions under relevant sections of law against them.
Police appreciates the role of local people of the area as well as media fraternity who have supported Police in this special drive and will look forward to similar cooperation in future endeavors.
