| PDD has only bills, no power for Rangwara Lolab | | |

KUPWARA, Apr 27: The PDD is sending bills to people without supplying power to them.
Rangwara Lolab locals accused the PDD of cheating them. "The PDD has not been supplying power to the area since October 2018 but we receive bills every month," they said.
The whole Rangwara area, that falls in Loab popularly known as, 'Wadi Lolab' is without power transformer for last seven months.
Bashir Ahmad a local resident told ET that, the Modi led government has time and again said that, his government is working on the Prime Minister's dream of 'Power to all', which they we trying to implement by 2019. But our area has not seen the power from past several months, said a local.
The power crisis has affected the studies of students in particular, they said adding the failure of the PDD to replace the damaged transformer for seven months narrates the story of its inefficiency.
The locals made clear that no bills shall be paid unless the damaged transformer is replaced and power supply resumed to the area. "We have taken up the issue with the higher authorities time and again without results," they said.
The locals have threatened agitation if the authorities fail to do the needful. |
