Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 28: Despite huge shortage of officials in the Revenue department, nine Naib Tehsildars remain posted against one post in the office of Regional Director, Survey and Land Records (RDSLR), Jammu for around last three months. However, all these officers were later shifted to Kishtwar. According to sources, there is only one sanctioned post of Naib Tehsildar in office RDSLR Jammu, but from January to April, nine NTs were posted here. "On 18/01/2019 Raghubir Chand, L/A NT was posted in office of RDSLR Jammu; on 05/02/2019 Murad Ali; on 18/02/2019 Vishawinder Gupta; on 21/02/2019 four NTs namely Manohar Lal, Hans Raj, Shankti Saroop and Saroop Chand were posted at the same place; on 28/02/2019 Mushtaq Ahmed and 08/03/2019 Yashpal Singh was posted as Naib Tehsildar in office same office against one sanctioned post that was already filed", sources informed. Later, a fresh order was issued on April 5. "Sanction is hereby accorded to the drawl of salary of the below mentioned LA/Naib Tehsildar, who could not receive their salaries due to non-availability of posts at their present place of posting. Their salaries shall now be drawn by the respective DDOs in whose jurisdiction the vacant posts of Naib Tehsildars fall", order number FC(A) 106 of 2019, dated 05/04/2019 read. They said however, there were 16 other Tehsildars and NTs in this order. The Revenue department did mend its mistake. But the question arises how against one only sanctioned post, nine officers were posted. "The order also talks about posting of these officials against non-available posts. Some clerks in Civil Secretariat are running transfer industry, they manipulate rules in exchange of money", sources added. |
