Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 28: Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha organized "Chintan Shivar" of Rajput Samaj at Trikuta Yatri Niwas near Vaid Mandir Amphalla Jammu.
Rakesh Kumar Chief Dharam Jagran J&K was special invitee in the function while large number of Rajput Biradri members of different Rajput Biradries including Muslim Rajputs participated in the function to discuss various ways and means to uplift the Rajput Samaj in the present era. The members pointed out that this brave community which earlier had an exemplary track record of service to the country has suffered greatly , economically since independence, as lands and military services which were its main stay have been taken away under the new socio-political order of the State.
The entire Rajput community of the State including Muslim Rajputs were frustrated and were hoping that the present political leadership of the State would do justice to it in the matter of service and other issues. The whole Rajput Samaj unanimously resolved that all of us must strive hard to get our due share from the government vigorously by maintaining unity in such a manner as our fore fathers did in building J&K State whose borders were stretched to Himachal Pradesh State and Punjab State and the borders of state were also extended to China, Pakistan and Afghanisthan. Chief Dharam Jagram Shri Rakesh Ji also stressed for remaining united at all costs.
The following Rajput Samaj Biradari Members who spoke on the occasion were Abdul Qayoom Manhas, Retd IGP, Sujad Khan of Poonch, S S Parihar (Retd.DSP), G S Jamwal (Retd. D.S.P), Historian Professor Suman Jamwal, Retd Registrar Jammu University P.S.Pathania, Capt. Inder Singh Samyal and Bishan Singh Jamwal.
Kr. Narayan Singh presented welcome address.
