| Warrant against Com, Secy Forest Deptt | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 1: The J&K High Court on Saturday issued a bailable warrant against Commissioner/Secretary Forest department in a contempt petition. The petition was filed by Ghulam Hassan and others who are daily-rated workers in the Forest department and have sought implementation of court direction whereby the court had directed respondents to consider the cases of the petitioners for regularization in terms of SRO 64 of 1994 and pass appropriate orders with in four weeks.
Justice Sanjeev Kumar after hearing advocate Sudershan Sharma appearing for the applicants and advocate Ajaz Lone for the state, observed that neither the order dated April 8, 2019 has been complied nor Commissioner/Secretary was present in person in the court. Hence, a bailable warrant was issued against the Commissioner/Secretary Forest to the tune of Rs 10,000 to be executed by SSP Srinagar through SHO of concerned police station. |
