Udhampur, June 1: Work on tourism huts and café was started three years ago but to this day, neither the huts have come up nor the café at Panchari in Udhampur district.
The locals have accused the political set up and the bureaucracy for the delay.
The construction work, locals said, continued for two years but was abandoned for unknown reasons, sources said adding costly Malasian wood has been left to rot at the site.
When contacted, Director of Tourism said that after proper physical verification of the site the department will judiciously use the funds.
He further said that the project will be completed by ending July this year. |
