Poonch, June 08 Scores of Sarpanches and Panches in Balakote tehsil Saturday protested against Rural Development Department and Block Mendhar over non-realization of pending bills. Alleging the RDD and Block Offices Mendhar of 'non-cooperation' and 'commission culture', the protesting Panchayat members said that many of their bills lie pending with them for a long now. "We see no significant response from the offices and as such we haven't been able to realise our bills for months together, they said while adding that some people demand a certain amount of sum without which it seems that we won't be able to draw our bills." |
