After Vigilance raid Govt to probe bunglings in J&K Bank loan | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 8: The Government will launch a probe into the politicians and JK Bank management Nexus and expose those political leaders who have taken huge amount as loan to further the business of their relatives by violating the laid down norms. Sources said the axe will fall on many politicians of both regional and national parties. To substantiate it's initiative the high placed sources said that soon after the sacking of Bank Chairman the Vigilance sleuths raided the Bank. Sources said the Government has received various complaints that JK Bank has given loans worth crores of rupees to the with and kin of senior politicians and their relatives. Even the relatives of a former CM settled outside and some former ministers have managed to seek loans amounting to hundred crores of rupees by violating the norms. The issue surfaces soon after the fall of PDP-BJP coalition last year and JK Bank came under clout after the stories regarding business loan scam and other scams surfaced. Sources said even violations were done in making recruitments in the Bank by the management especially while appointing class fourth posts in which the blue eyed boys having the recommendations of then ministers and political leaders were appointed while the deserving candidates from poor families were neglected and rejected. Sources said even in recruitment criteria for appointments was not uniform for the candidates of Jammu and Ladakh regions. While high percentage of marks was fixed for recruitment as clerk cum cashier or probation officers in the bank for Jammu region candidates those from Kashmir were given relaxation. This also amounted a big scam and the Government has decided to hold a probe in the matter and punish those responsible for the same. |
