"We approached the ambulance driver on duty, but to no avail. When we contacted BDO Dr Shamim Choudhary, who was in Srinagar, he did not respond to our repeated calls", Singh said. "We were made to wait for at least three hours for the ambulance." "Finally, the ambulance was arranged by the BMO from Mohgala hospital due pressure from various quarters. Our patient was shifted to district hospital Rajouri by 6 pm", he added. He said the BMO telephonically "told me that the ambulance is not working, as its tyres are worn out." "It is very shameful that administration has no funds for maintenance of ambulance. The absence of ambulance can cost lives of people", Singh said.
