JKPF hails move of Union Home Minister | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 8: Jammu Kashmir People Front (JKPF) has welcomed the move taken by Home Minister Amit Shah, regarding delimitation of Jammu and Kashmir assembly constituencies. According to press release, Front patron Satish Poonchi said that people of Jammu were pursuing the case of delimitation on the grounds that the area and population of Jammu always remained larger as comparison to Kashmir but due to under some political conspiracy the Kashmir region was given political power. He said that with the raking up issue of delimitation of Jammu & Kashmir state by not less than Indian Home Minister has gained momentum and it is being hoped that this would be taken upto logical end. He said in 1995 the state was also under President's rule and the then Governor dared for delimitation and upto some limit the purpose was solved. Stressing on the issue, he suggested the Minister for Home that this move should not be put in cold-store after getting media-hype, which would further hurt the sentiments of nationalist people. He said that may be some handful people from Srinagar will oppose the move of delimitation but union government should not budge from the delimitation agenda to explore the possibilities of slogan 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas'. |
