| | With the coming of strong BJP leader Amit Shah as the Union Home Minister of India, the strong signals have already gone to the Kashmir centric leaders in the valley to mend their ways in the very interests of the Integrity and the Sovereignty of the nation otherwise they would be dealt with the iron hands by the Central Government led by the Prime Minister Narender Modi. The Kashmir centric leadership in the valley is frightened these days and there is a great HULCHUL in the valley. It is pertinent to mention here that at the fag end of the Modi led government at the Center had tightened its noose over the Separatists and the Hurriayat Amalgamation thereby initiating the various investigations by the NIA followed by filing of the FIRs in the various police stations in the valley and even arresting them in connection with the money laundering case against them. After making their arrests some delinquents are passing their days in prison in the valley and a few have been shifted in jail outside the state of Jammu and Kashmir. In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections in the valley, the National Conference led by Dr. Farooq Abdullah has bagged all the three MP seats from the valley- Srinagar, Anantnag and Baramulla and whereas PDP could no win a single seat fro Kashmir this time. Not to talk of her Party, even the PDP Chief and the former Chief Minister of the state Mehbooba Mufti has lost her own seat. This means that the PDP has lost its popular base in the valley and its its position has been reduced to the skeleton this time. Mehbooba Mufti is saying repeatedly that doing an alliance with the BJP in the state to form the government in the state was her party's mistake. Seeing the PM Modi in the thumping majority in the Lok Sabha, both Dr. Abdullah and Madam Mufti are feeling un comfortable and confused as what to do now in the changed political scenario at the Center. Basically they are one over the issue of the Articles 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution as also the Delimitation Commission. Only for the lust power they make the allegations against each other. When they see their interests the get united against the Central Government always and they are in the habit of keeping the national political parties in the valley politics. This was seen when the Mehbooba Government was fallen in the state after the withdrawal of the support by the BJP last year. They played the drama indeed and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti staked the claim for the formation of the government in the state with the support of the National Conference and the INC before the Governor Satya Pal Malik which was turned down by the Governor then and dissolved the J&K Legislative Assembly immediately without consulting the Central Government even. Now with fastly changing scenario at the Centre, it is likely that NC and PDP may join their hands together in giving the befitting reply to it jointly under the leadership of Dr. Farooq Abdullah. There is is likely hood that the PDP will be merged into the National Conference led by the former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah soon. This is actually opined by the political Experts and the Analysts. The duo- Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti will work as the junior under the direct command and control of Dr. Farooq Abdullah. It was quite clear that Abdullahs and Muftis remained very busy hectically in establishing their dynasties in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The welfare of the citizens of this state was never on their priorities. Abdullahs and Muftis left the people the state to the mercy of God and they acted as the stooges of the Central Government. It was their total power hunger, they always wanted to remain in power in the state come what may. What does it transpired ? A high level of political opportunism prevailed in the state all the time at the cost of the poor masses of the Jammu region particularly and they allowed them to suffer more badly. Another non sense was observed in the case of the delimitation of the J&K Legislative Assembly seats for the Jammu region. The Kashmir centric leadership is wise and sharp that they always torpedoed the Delimitation Commission tp proceed further on this score. Dr. Farooq Abdullah the Chief Minister of the time had stalled the process of the Delimitation Commission and deferred up to 2026 thereby amending the J&K Constitution on this particular aspect. This was a great set back done by Dr. Farooq Abdullah to the people of the Jammu region as for the Assembly seats are concerned. This is certainly considered as the unjust political opportunism by the Kashmir centric leadership in the state. In the first Delimitation Commission, the Jammu region was given one Assembly seat for 60000 electorates of this land and whereas the Kashmir region was given one Assembly seat for 40000 electorates of the valley which was a great injustice to the Jammu region particularly and it was done during Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah's time at the behest of the first Prime Minister of India Jawahar Lal Nehru who was having the good and friendly relations with him. Right from the beginning, the Kashmir centric leadership is bent upon to discriminate the Jammu region in respect of overall development, job avenues to the youths of Jammu, promotions to the employees of Jammu, allotment of professional seats in the Medical Colleges and the Engineering Colleges in the state. They are treating the Jammuites as their slaves by all means. All the times, the Chief Ministers came from Kashmir except one when Ghulam Nabi Azad who hails from the remote village of Doda District became the Chief Minister of the state. Many Commissions were appointed by the governments in the past for enquiring into the discrimination meted out to Jammu region but all in vain. Not only this the duo Dr. Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti are presently busy in devising the latest strategy to resist the Central Government move to order for the Delimitation Commission in the state soon. As per the latest report that the Central Government is very serious to end the discrimination meted out with the people of the Ladhakh and Jammu regions since the decades at the hands of the Kashmiri dominated government in the stare from time to time in the past. It is also pertinent to mention here that Dr. Farooq Abdullah is a very shrewd politician of the country and it was alleged that he deferred the Delimitation Commission in the state till 2026 because of the fact that , the strength of the majority community in the state would be increased drastically till 2026 due to the reason that the Muslim community do not adopt the family planning with two or three kids in general whereas the Hindu community and the Intelligentsia usually adopt the family planning norms in life. Like other rulers of the state in the past who were Kashmir centric in nature, Dr. Farooq Abdullah opted for deferring the Delimitation Commission in the state till 2026 with the malafide intentions- this was opined by the Political Analysts of the country. Since the issues of retaining of the Articles 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution as also of the already deferred Delimitation Commission are the burning issues are dearer to the duo- Dr. Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, they would go for merging the PDP with the National Conference in order to fight against the PM Modi government at the Centre very soon. Both the leaders would mobilize the public opinion in their favour and would give the tough fight to the Prime Minister Narender Modi. In their so called mission they would also seek the support of the Separatists and the Hurriayat Amalgamation leaders. The issues of the scraping of the Articles 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution and setting up of a Delimitation Commission in the state are entirely different issue altogether. The issues of the scraping of the Articles 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution is of national importance and whereas the issue of setting up of a Delimitation Commission is for the state of Jammu and Kashmir only. The Central Government may deal the scraping of the Articles 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution on its own suo moto. So far is the setting up of a Delimitation Commission is concerned, it may defer the J&K Legislative Assembly Polls for at two years and till then the State may remain under the President Rule. After ordering the setting up of a Delimitation Commission and getting its report it may order for the conducting of the Assembly elections in the state. At the same time it is important to write that the coming Delimitation Commission should not adopt the same analogy for deciding the no. of the per Assembly seat as was adopted in the first Delimitation Commission in the state. It was one seat for 40000 in the valley and in Jammu it was one sear for 60000 electorates which was totally wrong and base less. The principle of the equity be kept in view for deciding the no. of the electorates per Assembly seat. Under the circumstances, it looks that the Modi government seems to be fully determined to go for the scrapping of the Articles 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution and setting up of a Delimitation Commission in the state very soon , come what may in order to finish the disparity being meted out to the people of Ladhakh and the Jammu regions. With this appealing move of the Central Government, the people of the Ladhakh and Jammu regions are feeling jubilant these days. This positive approach of the Central Government will certainly yield the good results for the welfare and the progress of the the people of the Ladhakh and Jammu regions resulting which they will be having the sigh of relief for the all times to come. |
