| Ajitav Parashar takes over as DGM J&K State Head, State Bank of India | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 8: Ajitav Parashar today took over as Deputy General Manager J&K State Head ,State Bank of India in Jammu. Earlier he was Assistant General Manager,Patna Circle and also has served as Regional Manager Jharkhand State. Earlier Ajitav Parashar met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan and briefed Governor about SBI's functioning in J&K, its future expansion plans and about the services which are being offered to SBI's clients. Governor lauded the SBI's role in providing reliable banking services to its customers and stressed the crucial role which must be played by the entire banking sector to promote all round growth and development in the country. After taking over charge, Parashar emphasized on the need for bank staff to prioritize operational risk management. He also stressed about two main challenges in the banking sector which is market perception and market capitalisation. "We need to carefully watch our growth v/s compliance rates. To achieve this we have to rope in the youth in our bank as they are our link between past and future success," he said. Parashar maintained that the customers' sustained support made the SBI the greatest bank ever and exhorted them to extend continued patronage to the bank.
