| CHC Mandi lacks female doctor | | |

Mandi, June 14: Although government has provided a big complex of Community Health Center (CHC) for Mandi of border district Poonch but government has failed to provide other facilities to the downtown masses of far-flung area. People on Friday staged a strong protest demonstration against health department in Mandi and urged for early deployment of female Gynaecologist at CHC Mandi. People from entire tehsil of Mandi took part in this demonstration and accused health department and state administration for its step motherly treatment with Mandi people and threatened agitation if a female doctor was not appointed immediately. It is pertinent to mention that, a lady doctor was attached at CHC Mandi at need bases has been detach at her original post Sawjian whereas people from entire tehsil want her at block headquarter. People said, government should deploy another female doctor for CHC and retain said doctor since new doctor's postin. |
