Lip service, rhetoric no substitute to performance: Munish | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 14: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Friday said that time has come for the politicians to realize that mere lip service is not enough to woo the voters. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas, Munish asked the people to come forward and teach non-performers a lesson. "It's high time for us to wake up and give befitting reply to the politicians, who during all these years have taken us for a ride," said, Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. Munish said that it's unfortunate that our leaders believe that they can rule us just by "feeding lies." "Times have changed so have the people. They cannot be misled anymore. Slogans and rhetoric are not enough. It's the performance which matters," Munish said. He said, "I have come to you people with a lot of hopes and expectations. Cast your vote in my favour and give me a chance to serve you. I assure you that I won't let you down and would ensure that the issues faced by the common man are resolved without any delay." Munish said, "I have taken an initiative by reaching out to people. Now the ball is in your court and you have to decide whether you want to stick to the non-performers or give new people a chance." |
