Kishtwar CASO: Militants manage to vanish in thin air, gives slip to security forces | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Kishtwar, June 29: In a major setback to security forces on anti terror front, the militants who believe to be trapped in Search and Cordon Operation last evening manage to vanish in thin air and gives a slip to the security forces by taking advantage of darkness and thick forest cover. As per the details available with "Early Times", the security forces including Kishtwar Police, Special Operation Group of Police, Army and CRPF launched massive search operation in Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas after receiving an input regarding the movement of 3-4 militants in a swift vehicle approaching towards Kishtwar town. After sealing all the entry and exit points, the massive search operation which was launched yesterday evening continue today morning as well which was extended to some areas of Kishtwar town as well, but security forces find no trace of militants who successfully manage to give slip to security forces, however the Kishtwar District continue to be on high alert. It is pertinent to mention that Kishtwar District has witnessed upraise in militancy following the killing of Parihar brothers and RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma. Presently near about one dozen identified militants are active in the District while more than hundred OGWs are active in the District who played key role in arranging funds and other logistic support to militants as and when they enter into Kishtwar town. |
