Early Times Report Srinagar, June 29: In view to carry out repair of a transmission line, the power supply will remain affected on Sunday in parts of this winter capital of the state. "The Conductor of one of the two 220KV Transmission lines from Salal Power House to Gladni Grid Station, Jammu snapped near Salal on Saturday afternoon," a senior official of J&K PDD here said. "As a result, there will be a shortfall of 200 MVA power supply at 710 MVA, 220/132/33 KV Grid Station Gladni," source added. As per officials of M/s. Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, which own & maintain this line, this line shall be restored by 30/6/19 evening. Therefore, during the period of outage of this line, the power supply of areas fed from Grid Station Gladni shall be subject to rotational curtailment. The affected areas shall be Old Jammu City, Newplot, Janipur, Roop Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Nanak Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Channi Himmat, Bathindi, Sainik Colony, Kalakote and it's adjoining areas.Inconvenience caused to general public is regretted. |
