| SOG Jammu busted Gang of Inter-State Drug Smugglers | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 29: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Special Operations Group of J&K Police along with sleuths of Police Station Domana achieved a major success by recovering huge quantity of Poppy Straw which was being illegally smuggled in a truck bearing number 9339 PB 11-CF at domana Naka under the jurisdiction of Police Station Domana of district Jammu this evening. The accused driver and conductor of the truck who were smuggling the contraband in the truck has been identified Harpreet Singh S/o Sh Shran Jeet Singh R/o Mansa Distt Mansa Punjab and Kala Singh S/O Coga Singm R/o Sabri Sangroor Punjab. Reports revealed that, a special naka was laid jointly be SOG Jammu led by SI Shabir Ahmed & sleuths of PS Domana led by its SHO Insp Chanchal Singh at Naka domana and checking / frisking was intensified. During the process of checking, one truck bearing number 9339 PB 11-CF coming from Kashmir towards Jammu via Mughal road was put to thorough checking. During search of the truck 275 kilograms of Poppy Straw which was concealed in plastic bags inside the truck was recovered. In this regard a case FIR under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at PS Domana and investigation taken up. |
