10/3/2019 10:23:21 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 3: Bharatiya Janata Party State Executive Member Raman Suri today said that Cleanliness is next to Godliness and the Swachhta Abhiyan launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that replicated in every street, village, town and state, has made India a clean and green country. This drive, he said is going to be a never ending process that will keep our country ahead of others in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. Raman Suri was addressing devotees at a Jagran organized on the occasion of Navratras near Residency Road. Large number of devotees and local residents of ward number 15 had assembled to recite bhajans and kirtan. Corporator of the ward Sandhya Gupta was the special invitee. He said that, on the occasion of 150th year of Gandhi Jayanti and ongoing Navratras, people must resolve not to litter, and stop the use of plastics. Seeking blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi, Raman Suri said such religious functions unite people and encourage harmony. He appreciated the efforts of locals, especially youth, in organising Jagran and added that children must stay connected to cultural heritage. Earlier the devotees recited bhajan and kirtan and offered prayers at Jagran. Later Prasad was also distributed amongst devotees. Raman Suri, while paying obeisance, prayed for peace in the State and said that everyone must resolve to keep localities clean and maintain communal harmony.
