No one made sincere effort to know what Jammu people want: Munish | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 3: Editor, Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Thursday reiterated his resolve to highlight the woes of Jammu people, whom he said, have been take for a ride by the successive regimes. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in Chatha Mill, Munish said, "The outreach programme which I had started nearly five months ago has brought to fore the miseries and sufferings of the people." "It is unfortunate that our leaders during the past seven decades have just treated people as their vote banks, who helped them to reach on top. No one during all these years has made a sincere effort to know what people want," said Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. He said, "I have taken a plunge into politics with an aim to serve my people and after reaching out to them I've realized that they needed a representative, who can become their voice and help them overcome the difficulties which they face in their day to day lives." Munish urged people to look beyond the traditional politicians and vote for the candidates who can strive for the change and lead from the front. |
