Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 3: Continuing its crackdown on terror network in Kishtwar District, Kishtwar police booked three more persons including a self styled Hurriyat leader for providing support to the Hizb terrorists operating in Kishtwar and Doda districts.
The arrested close aide of Geelani was earlier apprehended by Kishtwar Police in December last year for recruiting the innocent youth and luring them towards militancy.
As per the details available with Early Times, in a major breakthrough, Kishtwar Police succeeded in arresting Noor Mohammad alias Fayaz Malik son of Abdul Razaq Malik of Figsoo Thathri District Doda wanted in a militancy related case and was booked under FIR No. 232 U/S 13/18/19/38/39 Unlawful Act along with local Imam Manzoor Ahmed Ganie son of Mushtaq Ahmed Ganie alias Qari Manzoor alias Hafiz Sahab of Bunastan Kishtwar and Farooq Ahmed Butt of Poochal Kishtwar, a government teacher. The arrested accused as per the police is a self styled leader of Tehreek-e- Hurriyat Doda and has previously remained an associate of Syed Ali Shah Geelani for over a decade before he deserted his office in 2013 after he was arrested in a Hawala case.
As per the copy of FIR available with "Early Times", the trio was involved in providing logistic support, transportation and information about the movement of security forces to carry out attack on them.
As per sources, the arrested close aide of Geelani has been active in the process of radicalizing youth to join militancy and had close links with Qamar-ul-Zaan a terrorist recently held in UP and a local active militant Usama -bin-Javed who was killed in an encounter with security forces few days ago at Botote. He had previously taken some youths to Assam added that the arrested person is running a school at Thathri Doda. He said that further questioning is to be made from the arrested persons to ascertain more details with regard to their activities and the people who are part of their nefarious designs.
It is pertinent to mention that 15 persons have been booked so far under Unlawful Acts in three different FIRs while five other persons were booked in FIR registered by Kishtwar police in connection with the murder of RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma.
