Katra, Oct 3: Celebrity Singer Balraj mesmerised the audience at devotional song competition at Katra.
The All India Devotional Song Competition being organized by SMVD Shrine Board and Department of J&K Tourism, J&K Bank, Shraddha Mh One with active support of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialist Hospital, Tiwari Multi Speciality Hospital (U.P) Surya Milk, Pure Roots Herbal, Nidesh Builders Pvt. Ltd. Jammu, Divinity, Big 92.7 FM, Yog Ashram Trust, District Administration and the local host Community entered in Fourth day evening as a part of Navratra Festival 2019 began today at Yog Ashram Complex in the evening by litting of a traditional lamp by Additional Development Commissioner Ramesh Kumar and Celebrity singer Balraj in presence of Chairman Devotional Song Committee and President Hotel Association Katra Rakesh Wazir, Station Superintendent Katra Railway station Jugal Kishore Sharma, SSE Railways Subash Chader, Yog Acharya Swami Yoga Nand ji Maharaj , Former Winner Khushi Shubh, Virender Kesar, Sardari Lal Dubey, Ajay Sharma etc. where as in fourth day of the preliminary round of competition Mahima Choudhary from Jammu took 1st position and 2nd position was got by Sunny Sandeep from Batala and 3rd position was held by Vijay Kumar from Himachal Pradesh, among the 10 auditioned participants in which six participants were from outside state and four participants were from within state and were provided with the cash prizes of 10,000/-, 5,000/- & 3,000.
The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including Celebrity Singer Balraj, Dr.Usha Bhagati Ex.HOD Music many degree colleges including P.G.M.A.M College Jammu, Dr. Surinder Kumar Sharma HOD Govt. Degree College Sunni Shimla and Dr.C L Verma Ex.Chairman Post Graduate University of Himachal Pradesh. Famous celebrity singer Balraj is known for hit songs like Jaan Tay Bani, Kinna Payar, Ishqvazian etc. who had come all the way for performing in the event enthralled the audience with his melodious songs and the total environment of the venue became spiritual and the people were seen dancing on his tunes. Khushi Shubh who is former winner of this All India Devotional Song Competition also sang Soufiyana Songs.
The proceeding of Competition was conducted by Rakesh Wazir who is also the Chairman of the said Competition who while speaking on the occasion said that the competition is taking good momentum this year also.
