Jammu, Oct 3: A multilingual Mushiara was organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages at K L Saigal Hall in connection with 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi. Inderjeet Kesar, a well known Dogri writer presided over the programme whereas S. Amar Singh Kuka, a Punjabi Ghazal writer was the chief guest on this occasion. S. Popinder Singh Paras, Editor Sheeraza Punjabi shared the dais. Well known poets ofdifferent languages like Dogri, Punjabi, Hindi, Pahari and Gojri recited their poems in the programme. The poets who recited poetry included Kewal Kumar Kewal, Bishab Singh Dardi, Randhir Singh Raipuria, Usha Kiran Kiran (Dogri), Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Sonia Upadhay, Amita Mehta, Dr. M K Bharat, Sham Bihari (Hindi), Bhupinder Bhargav, Bachan Bharti, H S Upashak, M S Kamra, Jang S Verman, Amar Singh Kuka (Punjabi), Swami Antar Nirav (Pahari) and Ghulam Sarwaar Chouhan (Gojri). S. Popinder Singh Paras welcomed the poets and guests. Inderjeet Kesar said that such programmes give chance to remind the people to remember the great people like Mahatama Gandhi and review his thoughts. |
