Early Times Report

Rajouri, Nov 9: Thousands of people living near Line of Control in Rajouri's Keri Doongi area are fumed against Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, the lone communication network in border area, for its failure to restore the system which is lying completely snagged from last two weeks.
People of the area have also threatened of a strong agitation against government authorities for its failure to solve the serious issue which has pushed life to a worst affected state.
The locals from Doongi Agrati including Subash Sharma, Mohammad Anis, Sajad Ahmed, Riyaz Ahmed among others said that their area is comprised of above two dozen border villages which include Sarol, Chatyari, Keri, Doongi, Agrati, Dhara Sambla, Gidar Galiyaan, Ratti Mitti, Chiti Bakri, Deriyan, Ponthal, Thathyali.
" As our area is located close to Line of Control, no private communication network except BSNL to some extent is allowed in our area and entire population is dependent on it for much needed communication with outer world," they said and added that from last thirteen to fourteen days both landline and mobile service of BSNL is lying completely snagged in entire area and lone mobile tower of limited is also in off-mode due to reasons better known to them.
Angry locals said that the entire area is cut off from outer world and one has to move up to Chatyari to make a call. "Entire population of the area is fed up with poor system of BSNL and poor supervision of government authorities over it and are ready to hit the roads if the network communication is not restored in next one to two days," said locals.
