Sources told Early Times that the a large number of termination cases of workers who were engaged in private companies are lying pending with Regional Labour Commissioner Office for its disposal but the alleged officer has been harassing the poor workers for making undue delaying it. They further said that for the disposal of termination cases, the workers are sent notices in this connection by the office so that they can present their cases before the officer. "There is clear direction under Industrial Dispute Act 1947 that termination cases that the designated officer has to complete the conciliation proceeding within 45 days but the worker are sent notice after 2-3 months with clear intention to discourage them," they said.
