| Farmers Awareness Camp organised | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Dec 21: One day training programme cum awareness camp was held at Sundrani by Agriculture Department Udhampur Zone Tikri.
The programme was organised under guidance of Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer Udhampur Harbans Singh and active efforts of Agriculture Extension Officer Zone Tikri Sanjeev Mishra. Large number of farming community members including women folk attended the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Mishra, Agriculture Extension Officer Tikri exhorted upon farmers to avail the extension and financial aid provided to the farmer through various central and state sponsored schemes. He sought maximum involvement on part of people as beneficiaries for schemes like PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana, PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana, Jivika, Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and others.
Sumesh Sharma, AEA of concerned panchayat briefed the farmers about various programmes underway in area by dept.
Kamal Jit Singh, AEA elaborated upon the holistic and sustainable methodologies for doubling farm income for beneficiaries as mandated by Agriculture Deptt. Dr Adarsh Parihar AEA urged farmers to adopt integrated model of cropping systems. Enrollment of farmers for Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana and other schemes was also done during the programme. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Pankaj, Anjana Mahajan, Balbir Singh, Rajinder Singh Katoch, Sukhvinder Singh (all AEAs) and Panchayat functionaries of Sundrani. |
