NMC demands removal of pay anomalies | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 29: Urging Union Finance Minister to take steps for immediate acceptance of recommendations of Lavasa Committee on removal of pay anomalies through different levels of employees of GPD cadre along with recommendations for enhancement of minimum pension/pay from Rs.18000/- to Rs. 21,000, president of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today demanded immediate implementation and ratification of the same and announcement in this regards be made by her in the upcoming budget session of parliament while presenting 2020-21 union budget on 2nd Feb.2020. “Since the report is pending for want of decision, it is heartening that Prime Minister showed concern for lowest category of workforce who are already reeling under the burden of increased cost of living.”NMC president Subash Shastri said while addressing a well attended NMC workers meet. Deliberating on the issue of regularization of daily rated workers working in the various departments of Jammu and Kashmir UT who have been showered empty promises by the previous regimes, Shastri also appealed Lt. Governor G. C. Murmu to address and ameliorate the pathetic condition of these daily rated workers who incidentally have been denied salaries for over many years now. |
