NCP expresses concern over polythene menace | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 3: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has expressed concern over polythene menace in Jammu city. A meeting of NCP activist was held at party headquarter under the chairmanship of its President Kamal Gupta. The meeting raised the civic issues of Jammu city and its surroundings which is under the jurisdiction of so called Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). "The roads, lanes and drains are full of filth and dirt which has become disease prone. It is astonishing that the JMC and the government number of times declared Jammu Polythene free and showed the people a smart city dream. How the vendors and the shopkeepers dare to use the polythene though banned", he said. He further says that it is a clear message that the authorities are hand in glove with the users of this banned item. The polythene has become nuisance and dangerous both for human life and the innocent animals, water bodies. |
