Jammu, Mar 3: Government Degree College (GDC) RS Pura today organized a seminar on cyber crime and cyber security in the college premises. Principal of the college Dr. Sunita Sudan was the chief guest of the occasion. The inaugural message was presented by Dr. Ajay Dadwal, Assistant Professor, Physics. Students of semester VI namely Deepak Chowdhary, Robin Verma and Shubam Sharma shared useful information regarding the types of cyber crime and the measures which can be taken to avert cyber attack. The audience which included the students of the college was made aware of the types of cyber crime like hacking, child pornography and abuse, cyber stalking, cyber terrorism, identity theft, financial frauds etc. The methods to avert cyber crime like using strong passwords, securing mobile devices, protecting data, using anti-viruses and keeping them updated were also discussed. |
