UT Wide Open Tournament enters 2nd day

Kathua, Mar 3: Organised by the department of Youth Services and Sports District Kathua in collaboration with Sports Council Jammu and Kashmir the UT wide open tournament in the discipline of Cricket entered second consecutive day here at Sports Stadium Hiranagar and Army Ground Gadial. The tournament is being organised at four different venues of Kathua such as Sports Stadium Hiranagar, Sports Ground Gadial, Sports Stadium Naz Billawar and Sports Ground Bhaddu. At Sports Stadium Hiranagar Kathua Value Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bat first. While batting first the the Kathua Value made 160 runs in prescribed 15 overs with loss of 9 wickets. Aditya added 72 runs of 31 balls. The target of 161 runs achieved by Palli Morh 11 Barnoti by lossing 4 wickets in which Balbinder added 68 runs of 30 balls who already clinched 3 wickets in one over. In another match Rising Star Nagri continued it win and outplayed Saab Ji 11 Kathua by 47 runs in which Ajay of Nagri added 37 runs of 19 balls.
At Army Ground Gadial Manjeet Cricket Club Chhan Arorian outplayed Kathua Yes 11 by 6 wickets, Chandwan 11 Hiranagar outplayed Royal Stikers Kharote by 110. The venues were visited by officials of Sports Council Jammu and Kashmir and Youth Services and Sports.
