LG to launch ‘Student Health Card’ | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 4 : Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu will launch ‘Student Health Card’ here at Teachers Bhawan on Thursday. The programme is being organised by Directorate of Mid Day Meal in association with Directorate of National Health Mission. “The LG will be launching ‘Student Health Card’ for students of all government schools here on Thursday,” Mission Director, Mid Day Meal J&K Arun Manhas told on Wednesday. He said that the initiative will benefit the students from class first to 12th studying in all government schools across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The students will be examined twice an year under “Rashtriya Bal Swashtya Karyakram” by National Health Mission and the Mid Day Meal, J&K has joined hands with them, he added. “Once the cards will be issued to around 12 lakh students, their health record will be maintained and monitored by the concerned authorities and during medical examination on bi-annual basis, it will be easy to find out their health concerns if any for further action.” Dr Manhas also said that digitalisation of these health cards and record is also under consideration. |
