Jammu, Mar 4: Women Development Cell of Government Degree College, Ramnagar organised one day program on “Health and Hygiene” under Mission “Save Women”. The program was organised under the guidance and supervision of worthy Principal Dr. Udhey Bhanu and Dr. Anil Khajuria, HOD Zoology. A team comprising three members namely Arun Kumar, Monika and Darshna Devi visited in the college. The program started with the welcome address given by Samta Sharma, student of BA semester VIth. Arun Kumar, team coordinator gave a brief introduction about the NGO and its objectives. Monika, main speaker of the program spoke about various health and hygiene issues related to women such as leucorrhoea, Cervical Cancer, ovarian cysts, fibroids etc. She also gave a live demonstration about the right kind of sanitary napkins to be used in order to avoid these kinds of problems. More than two hundred female students participated in the program in two sessions. Mrs Darshana Devi also distributed sanitary napkins among the female students of the college. Dr Monica and Prof. Deepa Sharma were the coordinator and organising Secretary of the program respectively. |
