Agriculture Department organizes awareness camp at Batote

RAMBAN, Mar 4: Agriculture Department, Ramban in collaboration with the J&K Bank Ltd. (JKBL) today organized one day awareness camp at Batote.
Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Ramban, MG Singh presided over the function whereas Agriculture Extension Officer, Raj Kumar, Dr. Ravinder Singh, JKBL Cluster Head, Batote, Vijay Kumar, JKBL Batote Branch Head, Lakhwinder Singh, Shamim Akhter, AEM, Puja Sharma AE, Gurdip Singh and various other Agriculture Officers attended the function .
During the camp Sarpanches Panches and farmers were educated about the soil health maintenance and various flagship schemes of the central government to enable the every farmer to double their income by 2022.
Besides educating the farmers about the importance of maintaining the health of soil in their fields by getting the soil of their fields tested for its nutrient value at Soil Testing Laboratory or through Mobile Soil Testing Laboratory and keeping it's record in the Soil Health Cards issued free by the Agriculture Department they were also educated about Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna (PMKSNY),Kisan Credit Cards etc.
During interaction session concerned officers also replied the queries of PRIs and farmers about various Agriculture and Bank loan schemes.
On the occasion, the JKBL officers educated the farmers about PMKSNY registration process, PM Jivan Jyoti Yojna, PM Suraksha Bima Yojna and Mudra Yojna.
