Some private schools still functioning in violation Govt order in Rajouri

Rajouri, Mar 14: Despite strict directives from District Administration to close educational institutions in view of Corona virus pandemic, some private schools have been reported functioning today putting the lives of students in risk. Sources told Early Times that some private schools in main Rajouri Town were seen opened by the owners and for exams purpose despite government order to close all institutions. Similar violation was also reported yesterday in Nowshera, where a school was found opened but after complaint, SDM Nowshera ordered police to visit school and force them to close it. District Education Planning Officer (DEPO) Rakesh Gupta, when contacted, he expressed shock over the report and said that he had strictly asked the concerned ZEOs to make sure the compliance of order. “Although I had communicated order to private school owners telephonically to close the schools but it seems that they didn’t take it seriously,” he said. Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta said that it is a serious violation of government order. She assured that action will be taken against erring school owners.
