MENDHAR, Mar 14: A 52-year old man was injured after receiving a bullet wound at Mendhar sector of Poonch district on Saturday wee hours.
SHO Mendhar Tahir Yousuf Khan said that the man namely Mohd Rafiq (52), a resident of Malikpur Gohlad sustained injuries after a bullet hit his right thigh at around 4:00 am. Soon after receiving the information,Block Medical officer (BMO) Mendhar Dr Parvaiz Khan rushed along With Medical team and ambulance immediately rushed to the spot and evacuated the injured Rafiq to SDH Mendhar for treatment, SHO said, adding the condition of the injured is stable. The incident occurred when the man was performing ablution (wudu) for morning prayers outside his home. In this connection, a case has been registered and further investigations taken up, SHO added.
