Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 21: The residents of Poonch district have been facing huge shortage of the sanitizing products in the wake of COVID -19 pandemic and it has been observed that black marketing of these products is being done.
The common sanitizing products including sanitizers, masks are being sold on exorbitant rates in the market and the local administration has been doing nothing. “The people have no choice but purchasing these products on high rates only to get themselves protected from Coronavirus. The main reason behind black marketing of sanitizing products is dire shortage of these essential products. Taking advantage of this serious situation, udmeed welfare society and shopkeepers are fleecing customers,” they alleged.
They further said that even the hospitals in this district are facing huge shortage of sanitizing products putting lives of the patients and the attendants in danger. There is no proper screening of visitors while entering into the hospitals, which has raised the risks of getting infected from this virus. “Already many reports of coronavirus positive people were reported in the district yet no fool proof measures have been taken, which can aggravate the situation any time,” they added.
