Police violate DM’s order in Mendhar

Poonch, Mar 21: At a time when entire country is fighting the corona virus and administrations have issued advisories and order regarding no social gathering but in a very perturbed incident in the Mendhar Sub Division of Poonch District where hundreds of people gathered in farewell function of S H O Mendhar Tahir Yusuf Khan, who was transferred two days ago.
Although there strict order of Sec 144 yet the enforcement agency was found violating this order, where hundreds of people attended the function and took out a rally in the market from Mendhar police station where police personnel were also present with him. During this time Dhol and drums were played.
Meanwhile Mendher police register FIR 47/2020 u/s 188 IPC against the organising committee who organise a farewell party for an transferee officer at mendher.
FIR registered against the voilators who despite of repeated orders assembled at one place.
Moreover Poonch police advise general public to strictly follow the orders and did not organise any party/ farewell etc which attracts huge gathering. Those who did not follow the order will strictly dealt with law.
