Leh, Mar 21: Three more people have been tested positive for coronavirus in the newly created Union Territory of Ladakh, taking the total number of cases to 13. "We received results of some more samples on Friday, out of these three tested positive," official sources said. They said infected persons are relatives of the earlier positive cases and were under quarantine. "They have been kept in isolation wards now," they said, adding with this three, the total number of positive cases has been risen to 13. They said 11 are from Leh district while two are from Kargil. The infected persons include a soldier, making him the first coronavirus case in India Army, sources said, adding Army has quarantined all the soldiers who came in contact with the Ladakh Scouts jawan. The 34-year-old soldier tested positive for the infection in Leh. "The soldier, a resident of Chuhot village in Leh, came in contact with his father, who had returned from a pilgrimage in Iran by an Air India flight on February 20 and tested positive for the virus," they said. |
