DODA, MARCH 21: Taking tough measures for stringent enforcement of orders issued under the provisions of section 34 of National Disaster Management Act, 2005, the ARTO, Doda under the guidance of District Magistrate, Dr Sagar D Doifode today blacklisted three public transport vehicles and suspended two Driving Licenses for violating the orders of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
During the District Magistrate tour to Gandoh, he visited various areas of the district to ensure the implementation of the orders issued to combat spread of COVID-19. The vehicles were found plying on roads along with passengers and the vehicles were immediately prohibited to ply further and blacklisted. ARTO issued notice to drivers and asked to submit their licenses in his office failing which strict action under rule for the violation of DM order will be initiated under Disaster Management Act, 2005.
Similarly, on the directions of District Magistrate, ARTO officials today visited many areas of the district to ensure the implementation of the DM order and found many vehicles plying on the road in violation of orders, in this regard five vehicle’s registration numbers along with drivers name were given to the Police Station Doda for lodging of FIR against them under rule.
The District Magistrate, has advised the public transport union to scrupulously obey and comply with the orders issued by the DDMA for preventing spread of COVID-19 and saving lives of the citizens.
