Jammu youth suffered worst discrimination during BJP rule: Harsh | Release Select List of J&K Bank Aspirants’ | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 23: Seeking early release of select list of candidates who had applied for the posts of POs and banking associates, clerks etc in J&K Bank in pursuance of 2018 notification, Harsh Dev Singh chairman JKNPP and former minister held a protest dharna in Jammu today. He said that while illegal backdoor appointments numbering around 3000 were allowed to continue, the genuine selections were rescinded thereby creating huge resentment amongst the educated youth. Wearing black badges and carrying placards in his hands, Harsh alleged that vested interests had caused the cancellation of the select list of the appointees despite all requisite formalities having been complied with. He said that he was forced to sit on dharna in view of non initiation of any action with regard to repeated complaints of fraud and manipulations in various selections held in the said bank. Referring to the audio clip which has gone viral on social media, Singh said that the Ex Governor SP Malik’s statement suggesting mischief in the cancellation of J&K bank selections could not be dismissed lightly. Quoting the relevant portion of the audio clips, Singh maintained that the Ex Governor of J&K had spilled the beans and exposed the nefarious designs of the helmsmen behind cancellation of the list. “The Ex Governor had categorically stated that the Jammu youth in the said list had outnumbered the Kashmir youth. This being so, the quashing of the said list has raised tempers in Jammu with the educated youth boiling with rage against the anti Jammu mind set of the concerned authorities. And cancellation of the select list is being attributed to the discriminatory politics against Jammu region being followed by the present govt even after re-organization of the state and abrogation of article 370”, asserted Singh. |
