| Former MLC demands restoration of 4G Internet in J&K on priority basis | | |

Kathua, May 14: Former MLC Subash Gupta has said that the people, especially the students and youth are dismayed over the non restoration of 4G Internet. Gupta has said that lakhs especially students and youth had great hopes on the Supreme Court regarding the restoration of 4G Internet in J&K but the prayer of the petitioners did not found favour with the court, in view of stiff opposition by the Centre and UT administration. Gupta regretted that the government is banking upon too much on the issue of security to deny 4G Internet facilities even during the worst periods of covid-19, when crores of children and youth are being given online education, depriving a large section amongst them of this facility. He reiterated the demand for restoration of full Internet facilities, at least in the peaceful Jammu region and other such areas of J&K without further delay. |
