J&K MeT forecast rain, advises farmers to avoid spraying in orchards | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 14: The MeT department of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday forecast rain with thunderstorm and also advised the farmers to avoid spraying in the orchards. The Weatherman here said that very light rain with thunder occured at isolated places of J&K during past 24 hours and currently weather is overcast with some stations reporting light to moderate Rain in J&K and generally cloudy in Ladakh. In next one week, he said that fairly widespread to Widespread light to Moderate rain with thunderstorm and gusty winds (at some places) is most likely during next 12-24 hors in J&K Kargil district of Ladakh especially along Zojila -Drass axis. Significant improvement is expected from tomorrow afternoon onwards, he added. The Weatherman further said that thereafter except for brief spell of rain with thunderstorm at isolated pockets, there's no forecast of any heavy rain. Presently the Rain with thunder may led to landslide in Banihal-Ramban axis and farmers are also advised to suspend spraying of their orchards for next 2 to 3 days, he added. |
