KP Action Committee demands restoration, security of temples in Rainawari | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 19: Rainawari KP Action Committee today convened an online Zoom meeting of its members all over India to discuss the various issues that are long pending and have not been addressed by the Administration of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. The issues pertaining to the recovery of the property and land of the Shiv Ji Temple, Mian Shah Shahib, Karapura, Khushki, Rainawari and the various temples of Rainawari that have witnessed vandalism and encroachment by the land mafia in Kashmir. This issue was raised by the Rainawari KP Action committee delegation led by its President, B L Jalali before the then Advisor to the Governor, K Vijay Kumar besides the same was forwarded to the then Governor. As no concrete action has been taken by the Administrationso far to retrieve the temple property, the Rainawari KP Action Committee has appealed to the Lt Governor G C Murmu to look into the matter and restore the faith of the religiously cleansed Kashmiri Pandits. Members expressed serious resentment against the bomb blast in the Amar Koul Temple located in the Badamwari, Rainawari area that forms the integral part of the Hari Parbat, Chakareshwar, Parikrima. Members appealed to the Administration to provide security to the temples and left out Kashmiri Pandit families that are being targeted to erase even the last traces of the community that has already been subjected to genocide. The meeting was presided over by president B L Jalali, R L Kaul, A K Raina, Krishen Bhat, Dr Mahesh Kaul, VK Zutshi and Ramesh Kaw. |
