Residents of ward 8 welcome new Domicile Law | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 19: Residents of various areas of Dogra Hall Ward No. 8 Jammu including Kabir Basti, Baba Basti, & Valmiki’s have welcomes the notification issued by Government of Jammu & Kashmir for registration of bonafide migrants or displaced persons for the purpose of issuance of Domicile Certificate and celebrates the day by organizing a function with limited number of people keeping all preventive measures & social distancing as a protection against corona virus. On this occasion BJP J&K Senior Leader and Incharge Information Technology & Social Media Department Jaidev Rajwal was Chief Guest and receives a warm welcome. Rajwal said that prior to the abrogation of Article -370 people who have come from other states since more than decades but settled in J&K and a large number of West Pakistan Refugees who moved to India during Partition in 1947 and settled in Jammu province, people belongs to Valmiki Community & other migrants were not classified as Permanent Residents.
