Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust wants early passage of Temples & Shrines Bill | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 19: Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust organised a webinar of its core members to take stock of the recent political developments and also to discuss strategies for the passage of the Temples and Shrines Bill for which the KP community and the trust is relentlessly struggling for the last more than a decade. Secretary Sundri Lal Koul apprised the members about the activities of the trust undertaken in the last one month under lockdown conditions and invited the members to make there presentations and also to suggest their views for the future course of action. The members expressed concern about a recent act of vandalism towards a temple in Rainawari Srinagar where a petrol bomb was hurled. The members said that the previous political dispensations only showed lip sympathy to the cause and the all important bill kept on lingering from one government to another. The members expressed dismay that only false promises have been made all along in the past regarding the Passage of the Temples and Shrines Bill.
