| Relief Contractors Association dismayed over delay in payments | | |

JAMMU, May 19: Relief Contractors Association has expressed dismay over the bills pending for the works that have been carried out already. Secretary of the Association S L Koul said that the big chunk of work done bills of contractors involved in the relief organization (M) Jammu have not been processed in the last couple of weeks in the month of March 2020 by account section officers and officials. He said these officials remained absent during the first phase of lockdown period despite of strict instructions from government to remain present in the respective offices upto 31 March 2020 to clear the Bills and other liabilities. Due to this deliberate negligence the funds to the tune of 10.85 crore were lapsed despite being one time reimbursement for said work, he said. |
