| AIKS welcomes amendment in Domicile Law | | |

JAMMU, May 19: All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) has welcomed the additions made to the Domicile Definition as Announced by the UT of J&K on 18th May 2020 & 16th May 2020. AIKS had written to the Union Home Secretary expressing the community’s misgivings concerning the issue of Domicile definition as announced by the UT Government on 1 April 2020 and subsequently amended on 3 April 2020.
AIKS said that the definition had created confusion and uncertainty in the community as it had left out a huge chunk of displaced community members out of the purview of the definition.The announcement made by the UT of J&K on 18th May 2020 & 16th May 2020, have addressed almost all the issues taken up by AIKS. |
