Kishtwar reports first COVID-19 case, doctor pharmacist, others go into quarantine | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, May 19: A day after Kishtwar District reported first COVID-19 positive case, the doctor and a pharmacist went into quarantine on Tuesday. As per the details available with Early Times, the 20 year old youth with travel history from Ludhiana tested positive. “The medical officer and a pharmacist were on duty at Administrative Quarantine Center CVPP Building Shalimar. They have gone into quarantine. Seventeen others, including seven family members, from Dachhan area with two elderly persons and 10 other students, who were under quarantine at this very facility center have been put under surveillance while three other students who shared room with the positive case at two different quarantine facility centers in Kishtwar have been shifted to isolation ward,” sources said. The doctor who went into quarantine told the Early Times that they are dealing with the people in quarantine centers without any proper equipment. “Protective gears are must for us,” he added. Meanwhile the six family members of the COVID-19 positive patient were put under administrative quarantine after report confirmed that his family members served the food to him at Kishtwar quarantine facility center where he was kept before being shifted to another quarantine center at Shalimar. The COVID-19 positive patient had also sent his clothes and luggage to home. |
