Early Times Report

SAMBA, May 27: District administration Samba has strongly refuted the allegations leveled in a news story aired by a TV Channel about facilities in Thandi Khui Quarantine Centre at Tehsil Vijaypur of district Samba. Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur, Chander Parkash informed that a story with malicious intentions has been floated on social media which is not only baseless and far from truth but also lack credibility and reliability. The video clippings are old but have been used by the channel stating them to be “morning footage”. As a matter of fact that issues which have been touched are stale and un-hygienic food and lack of social distancing. SDM clarified that the administration had taken the help of Radha Soami Satsang Beas organization, who had given their clean, hygienic ashram premises and satsang shed for keeping the stranded passengers, travelers who had to be kept under quarantine. “The Radha Swami Satsang Beas is serving free food from their community kitchen to all the inmates. Not only free food – three times a day, they are also providing tea, milk, water etc. to the inmates”, he added. He also said that the satsang ghar was being used as a transit facility for segregating people coming from Lakhapur and sending them to their native places for medical test and administrative quarantine there. SDM further informed that adequate arrangements have been put in place to serve them quality food.
