SRINAGAR, May 27: Businessman turned politician Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari is tipped to head the advisory committee in Jammu & Kashmir and it is likely that the swearing in ceremony may be held at Jammu on June 2.
Top sources in Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) said that a 10 member advisory committee comprising members of Apni Party and BJP would be sworn on June 2.
The sources said that five members would be sworn in from BJP along with the same number of Apni Party members.
Sources said that from Apni Party besides Bukhari, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Usman Majeed, Mohammad Ashraf Mir and Rafi Ahmad Mir would be nominated to the advisory committee. Bukhari would be Chief Councilor while as Mir, Usman, Ashraf and Rafi would be councilors from the Apni Party.
“From the BJP, Kavinder Gupta, Dr. Nirmal Singh, Sunil Kumar Sharma, Ravinder Raina and Ajay Nanda would be sworn in as councilors to the advisory committee. The swearing in ceremony is most likely to be held at Jammu on June 2,” said sources.
